Building A Concrete Home
Building A Concrete Home
Not an industrial "business park" shell, but an innovative design that
incorporates such sustainable elements as the insulated concrete wall
with its "Thermo Mass," Radiant Floor Heating, steel windows, Kalwall Sky
Lights, and Grafix Eye Lighting System. All rough electrical and
plumbing are integrated in walls and floor prior to lifting.

But the greatest benefit of this concept, aside from the shear beauty, is
its strength against the elements: fire resistant, storm worthy (hurricanes,
tornados, etc.), and sound and noise reduction. Worrisome termite
reports are a thing of the past, and upkeep and maintenance are a
fraction of conventional homes.

Concrete homes provide security, comfort, and style for multiple
generations.

Select & Prepare Site
A foundation is poured and after
curing, serves as a platform for the
pouring of each individual wall.

After selecting a site, the
grounds are cleared
Grounds are surveyed
and prepared for a
foundation.
A crane is used to lift the individual
wall segments into place.
The segments are then secured to the foundation and to each other.
The wood reclaimed from the wall
forming process is then used to
frame a roof.

Eves are sealed, rain gutters are installed, and
exterior trim, lighting, and other appointments
are completed.
